Loudham Estates, as an independent farming business, was
established over 40 years ago by the late Sir Robert Adeane. He
farmed extensively in East Anglia and was well known as an
innovative Landowner. His family continue to farm there today
and in 1986 his daughter the Late Rose Adeane developed the
interest further when the Company bought the 243 Ha/600 Ac
Foxcote Farm at Foscot on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire
borders approx. 90 Miles West of London.
The innovation continued through early expansion of the Foxcote
based business, which was one of the first in the area to become
involved in Joint Ventures through Contract Farm Management
Agreements. Notably by Summer 1988 the business had doubled its
size and by early 1994 had grown to some 2025Ha/5000Ac. –
however notwithstanding necessary economies of scale “size” in
isolation was not the principal aim.
Loudham provides a highly Personalised Service and
particularly so to Landowners whose primary Work/Life Interests
may not be “Hands On” Agriculture.
We believe that the simplicity and transparency of the
Contract Agreements and Farm Business Tenancies that we hold are
one of the principal reasons for the longevity of relationships.
